Program: "My Journey with Quilting and When I Finally Figured it Out.”
Speaker: Kathy and Stan Tucker - K & S Quilting
As a Professor Emeritus in education, Kathy considers teaching to be her "Superpower". The program and workshop will be fun, educational, and beneficial to you as you develop precision piecing that will add to your arsenal of quilting skills.
Kathy is a certified instructor with “Deb Tucker Studio 180 Design” and a Laura Heine Collage instructor and a nationally registered Teacher with Electric Quilt. Additionally, her husband (Stan) and Kathy also create and teach others how to make Barn Quilts. The program will consist of a trunk show and discussion of Studio 180 design tools and examples of many uses of these timesaving and precise methods that can be used in your quilting.

Use of Tucker Trimmer
Speaker: Kathy Tucker: K & S Quilting

This workshop will teach you how to use the Tucker Trimmer I® to create half square triangles, quarter square triangles, and combination units. Precision piecing is the focus of the Studio 180 Design tools. The Tucker Trimmer tool was designed to help quilter’s quickly and easily trim down units that are made with triangles: half square triangle squares, quarter square triangle squares (hourglass units), and combinations of half square and quarter square triangle squares (combination units). It has multiple diagonals which allow you to align ruler guidelines with unit seam lines to quickly locate the exact center of pieced units. This makes trim down easy, precise, and perfect every time. No more figuring, or guessing, or struggling to find a center point. You will love the Tucker Trimmer I tool as well as the teaching style that you will experience. We will make or learn to make five blocks pictured here.
